This online presentation and discussion covers the science behind three of the 2018 Explore Science: Earth & Space toolkit activities - Pack a Space Telescope, Exoplanet Transits, and Objects in Motion. After a brief overview of each activity and its resources, our guest presenter, an astrophysicist and science educator, facilitates a discussion of how NASA scientists use advanced space-based telescopes and the laws of physics to make discoveries about stars, exoplanets, and other astronomical objects beyond the solar system. This workshop was recorded on 3-13-2018.
